Hand-turned from solid oak, this bowl was intentionally turned while the timber still retained moisture, allowing the wood to move naturally as it dried. The result is a gentle, organic warp that gives the piece its unique character and tactile form.

Turned in a non-traditional orientation, the bowl highlights flowing grain across the interior, while a natural burr inclusion on the underside adds contrast with tighter, darker figure.

Finished by hand with food-safe oil to enhance the grain and natural colour, this piece celebrates traditional woodturning methods and the living nature of wood.
